Long before there were print ads, VR experiences, apps, and even books, we had words. They will always be at the core of our industry. They shape the way we communicate with each other, and help us give voice to brands, individuals, communities, and even machines. We want to celebrate the way the American Advertising Federation gives voice to the advertising community in Houston, by honoring words in their most tangible form: Typography.
Typography is how we shape words, the carriers of meaning, and the tool we use to
express our voice and let ourselves be heard.
The AAF Houston is proud to present the 56th AAF Houston Typeface, a family of fonts especially designed for the 56th Annual American Advertising Awards. Featuring abstractions from Houston’s most notable landmarks, this typeface is intended to become a symbol of unity, while aiming to represent our community. And if there is something we Houstonians have learned in 2017, it’s the incredibly value of coming together for a unifying cause.
Share it and use it to help give voice to your brands, your community, or yourself.
